I am just an ordinary guy living in Cape Town, South Africa who started trading about 8 years ago with as much doubt and skepticism as the next guy. I must admit that in the beginning it was an up-hill battle for me because I came from the world of computers and had never heard of a Futures or Options contract, but I decided at the outset that I would get the better of this trading thing and show the world how good I was. Was I in for a big surprise!
It didn't take me very long to realize that there were a lot of people out there who were losing their money, and it could happen to me too! Yet there were some people making money. As you probably know trading is a zero sum game; every dollar I lose someone else makes. So what were the winners doing that the losers didn't know about and why wouldn't the winners tell me their secret? I was convinced that there was something the winners knew, and I wanted to know what that something was so that I could also become a winner. How was I going to find this out?
Well, there were a few choices open to me. I could have done it by trial and error (though too many errors would probably have wiped me out). I could have bought a book, but which one; there are literally thousands to choose from. I could have fallen for all the advertising hype (and there's lots of it, believe me) and tried some of the courses on the market, but which one? (OK I will admit that I was taken in and wasted some money buying some rotten information). What I did find out is that a lot of the books and courses that you can buy are from people who have never traded a cent of their own money in the markets; they make their money from the books and courses that they sell.
Somehow I had this gut feeling that somewhere out there was the answer I was looking for, and if I persisted long enough I would find it. I kissed a lot of frogs (and bears and bulls) and finally Joe Ross (prince charming) came to the rescue. What immediately impressed me about Joe was the honesty and no BS approach from a guy who had been trading the markets himself for over 45 years.
He never promised a magic system like everyone else, but a simple method that had worked for the last 45 years and would work in the future as long as there were markets to trade. No fancy new fangled ideas and indicators; just good solid sensible trading truths.
Joe's approach to trading was very different to anything I had come across so far, and it wasn't long before I realized that here was a mentor that was one of the winners that I had been looking for, and he was prepared to share all his trading knowledge with me.
My own path to success took a gigantic leap forward when I discovered what Joe had to say about trading options in his book "Trading Optures & Futions". This struck a chord with me, and options became my passion and interest.
I went through a learning curve and had my fair share of losses and some gigantic successes. Early on I realized that options trading, in particular, is a numbers game. What I mean by that is that if you do your homework right and pick good probability trades you will come out a winner more often than not.
Right, you say, anyone can be a winner if they pick the right trades, so show me how to pick the right trades. So I developed a spreadsheet that will select the best trades for me every day. This spreadsheet is an integral part of my daily trading routine, and allows me to find the good trades within a few minutes.
I also developed a spreadsheet called the MATRIX to help me select the best strategies for the trades, and also to manage the trades to completion. These spreadsheets have been refined over the years, and I now have options traders all over the world using them every day to take money out of the markets.
The spreadsheets will give you a huge advantage over the "Mr. Average" trader. You will easily find good trades every day within minutes, and manage the options trades to a profitable outcome.
